Events
Since the launch of Swiss Watching, I have spoken at a wide range of events: bookshop signings, expat organisations, schools & universities, private companies and reading groups; you can see a list of past events here. I usually speak about living in Switzerland, being an Englishman abroad, Swissness and similar cross-cultural themes. I also give workshops for English teachers and am happy to visit students for discussion-based lessons. Most are events open to the public so please feel free to come along.
If you would like me to come and speak in Switzerland, then please contact me so that we can discuss dates and content in more detail.
Testimonials
“The evening was one of the most successful author events we’ve organised here. Diccon had everyone in fits of laughter and he has such an easygoing, natural way of talking that all the customers felt quite comfortable asking him questions and making comments.” Helen Stubbs, OffTheShelf English Bookshop, Geneva
“As long-time expats or as newcomers to Switzerland, we all greatly enjoyed his talk “Living in the Land of Milk and Money”. We learned interesting facts about Switzerland and smiled at the evocation of some “Swissness” stereotypes that are, after all, so true!” Marie Gow, Brits in Business
“We had a wonderful event with Diccon. His book has been and still is one of our bestselling non-fiction titles and we still recommend it daily.” Julia Weiler, Orell Füssli, Zürich
