Immerse yourself in Switzerland
August 5, 2020, No comments
Living in a foreign country can be hard, even one as wonderful and accessible as Switzerland. Sometimes you want to know more about the history and politics, or you’d like to meet others in the same boat, or you might simply fancy a weekend away in a new part of the country.
So why not immerse yourself in Switzerland? Next spring, I’ll be running two Immerse retreats, which offer three unforgettable days in the Alps and a programme packed with great seminars and fun activities, good food and even better company.
These retreats are all-inclusive, so you don’t have to think about anything other than enjoying yourself: two nights in a four-star hotel, all your meals, three afternoons of activities, local transport – and, of course, four captivating seminars with me about Swiss history and culture. Only drinks (other than water) and your journey to the destination are not included.
There are two weekend destinations planned for next year: Bad Ragaz and Engelberg. Each retreat has the same format but the activities will be very different. Depending on the weather, you might go wine tasting or learn to yodel, hike through a gorge or have a monk guide you round a 900-year old monastery.
Of course, we are living in uncertain times, so rest assured you can cancel up to 24 hours before the start of the retreat and get a complete refund. Our retreats are designed with corona in mind, so smaller groups of fewer than 30 people and with social distancing.
I’ll be there for all the weekends, for the seminars and to answer questions you might have about Switzerland. But I won’t be alone as Richard Harvell from Bergli Books is my co-director.
All the details and terms can be found on the Immerse website. Looking forward to seeing you next year!
